The artists talk about different states by using or transforming the medium of photography. In his photographs of the transitions between culture and nature, Remigijus Treigys captures the splinters and debris of time that fill the void extending between them. Agne Jonkute transfers to the canvas what the lens of a camera made in the interwar period, directed at a reinforced concrete house wall or a washed-off curtain, has captured, while Brone Neverdauskiene and Monika Zaltauskaite-Grasiene use human skin as his own history and turn it into different woven patterns with the help of computer jacquard weaving, and build objects from these patterns. Their work has been show last year at Moscow Biennale.

Participating artists conceptions could be described by exhibition’s motto “All that God turns away from becomes human, all that man abandons becomes perfect”, says curator Ignas Kazakevicius.

In the twentieth century this celebration was celebrated at the beginning of the three holy days: Sunday, Monday and Tuesday and now – only on Tuesday, 46 days before Easter. Museum has selected Sunday before Pancake Days Tuesday, so as to many Tuesday is a Labor Day.

The exhibition of a project called “European Eyes on Japan” and “Between” curated by Mikiko Kikuta presents four artists: Daisuke Nakashima, Shinryo Saeki, Karen Sato and Yumiko Utsu who were born between the 80′s and 90′s and belongs to a generation that grew up after Japan’s economic explosion. People have become wealthy, but at the same time, lost traditions and values. Young people found it difficult to find their place in need of new rules and approach to life.

For the late Italian Renaissance represents Cremonas’ famous painter of the famous painters dynasty Antonio Campo (Antonio Campi, 1523-1587) with a subtile, elegant shape image “the Holy Women at Christ’s tomb.” For mannerism, the transition from Renaissance to Baroque, represents the Roman painter Marcelo Venuscio (Marcello Venusti, 1512/15-1579), “Pieta”, that was painted by Michelangelo (Michelangelo Buonarroti) drawing. In sixteenth century the second half, the Italian Mannerism spread to Northern Europe. One of the most famous was the Netherlands mannierist Bartolomeo Spranger (Bartholomaus Spranger, 1546-1611). The exhibition shows his painting of St. Ursula with martyrs.

The author is really be concerned with beauty, assembling ourselves at the same-day values. Gryte primarily is a portraitist and has a talent to subtly open up and communicate with different people.

Since 2003 the artist began to paint on glass and created copyrighted technology of cycles of “The universe-jack ” (2003), “Milky Way” (2003), “Building Bridges” (2003), “Fern Ring” (2003) “Crown” (2004), “Distant skies here” (2005), “Verba” (2008), “Wave” (2008). Had illustrated by drawings on the glass electronic journal “Magic” (the Lithuanian Folk Culture Centre, 2004).

National M. K. Ciurlionis Museum of Art celebrates the 90th anniversary and opens one of the largest in its history exhibition  “Mirabile Visu/ Nuostabu matyti” or amazing view.”

Visitors will meet the most valuable collections and exhibits in nine halls of the gallery. The exhibition presents more than a thousand pieces of art. Exhibits of the collection shows not only the valuable ones, but also those whose origin and entry to the museum histories are unusual, intriguing, latest works by M. K. Čiurlionis, even H. Matisse drawing.

The show focuses on young- and youngest-generation artists in an attempt to capture the condition of the mind and spirit of a generation trying to redefine itself, to find a place for itself between a sense of attachment to the national tradition, history, and an increasingly globalized and technologized reality.

Show of dreams and visions  created by these professional Lithuanian, Latvian, Estonian and Polish jewellers will take place in Vilnius. Dreamscape is an exhibition of unified works into which artists implicates their own empathies, hopes and dreams, or maybe as well this is how they create separate corner into which every viewer could come.

In 2003, worked as an artist, textile artist in Sheila Hicks studio in Paris. Since 1999 participates in exhibitions. Together with other Lithuanian artists has exhibited works in Belgium (Ghent), France (Paris), Poland (Warsaw).

In the morning of the opening day, around 9 am, the group of actors took part in an improvised conversation-turning-into-a-play together with Audrey Cottin, Marius Cechanavicius, Gerda Paliusyte and Inesa Pavlovskaite. This was aired on the National Radio’s Klasika broadcast.

Monumental and laconic form of graphic works, metaphorical images, corresponds to man’s place on earth, the duality of his nature, spiritual and cultural roots. Works on symbolism themes and moods are reflected in the author’s spiritual quest evolution, leading from a mysterious pagan to Christian worldview to the clarification.

The exhibition was called by this “antique” name should incite the visitor to create a certain mood. Salon of Autumn held in Kaunas has its own intrigue: will introduce new, freshest, never yet exposed works of these great artists.

His work uses popular forms to symbolize the politics of daily life. This self portrait is made of clay and shows Bergins’ identification not only through the features of his face, but also through the data glazed onto the skull, including his passport photo and number, and other data that identifies him to the state.
