The same as every year there is a rich variety of themes and works among which every viewer will find his favorite one. The winners will be collected not only by the jury. An exhibition of this year’s International Photography Art Festival “In Focus” photography. This photographic exhibition, supported by the Japan Foundation and the organization of EU-Japan Fest is a collaboration of a curator Egle Deltuvaite and Mikiko Kikuta who presents a couple of years-long festival of photography.

Two young generation Estonian artists Tonis Saadoja and Flo Kasearu present their works. Tonis Saadoja’s photo installation “14.06.09″ refers to the date of the first mass deportation in Estonia by the Soviet troops in 1941. The lightbox installation is accompanied by a video work “21.05.09″ (aka ESC) by Flo Kasearu referring to an awkward real life incident with escaped hippodrome horses galloping in a desolate Tallinn some years ago on the night of the 21st of May.

Seventeen M.K.Ciurlionis and two K.Simonis paintings are being exhibited at the international exhibition “Europe and the world of spirits, or fascination with the occult from the year of 1750 to 1950″ (L’Europe des Esprit ou la Fascination pour l’occult, 1750 – 1950) in Strasbourg, France. Lithuanian artists’ works are exhibited alongside a plethora of world-renowned European artists such as William Blake, Eugene Delacroix, Paul Gauge, Francisco Goya, Wassily Kandinsky, Paul Klee, Kazimir Malevitch, Edouard Munch, etc.
Zilvinas Kempinas experiments with the possibilities of movement in works of art. In his installations, he uses industrial fans to ventilate the air floating one or several loops of magnetic tape that undulates, drawing random forms in space. These tapes connote a memory, by now illegible, though latent, in fact suspended.
In France, La Fabrique, will be presented the year of 2012/2013 “Young European artists” Biennale with 80 artists from 10 European countries. “Young European artists” is an international contemporary art biennial, which presents the works of younger generation of European artists.
Vytautas Šerys retrospective exhibition overlaps with the 80th anniversary of the birth of the artist and the fifth anniversary of the death. The exhibition includes five decades of creativity. Vytautas Šerys is a sculptor, painter and poet. In 1995 he was awarded with the Prize of Lithuanian National Culture and Arts.
